Join our CEO, John Pepin, as he chats with our Board member Cath Dovey, Co-Founder, Beacon Collaborative; Sanjay Joshi Co-Founder, SoGive; Billy Wright, Non executive Director, BREVIO; our Board member  Darshita Gillies, Founder and CEO, Maanch,and  Dan KwiatkowskiSoftware Engineer, Co-Founder of tythe.org and creator of CharityBase, about how technology might be used to support philanthropists and new donors to connect to philanthropic opportunities, creating efficient pathways for donors and charities.

This show and tell conversation has developed from the emergence of a number of new technology and data solutions. We wish for the audience to learn about the current platforms and innovations in a show and tell session.

Discussion may also include some of the key impact/challenges and issues on existing platforms, the latter including due diligence, reporting and decision support functionality and issues related to data management and performance measurement.
 
 
 
Speakers’ Bios
Cath Dovey
Cath is a co-founder of the Philanthropy Collaborative and is the lead coordinator for a number of the activities of the Beacon Collaborative. Formerly a co-founder of Scorpio Partnership, the global wealth management strategy and research firm, she led the firm’s high-net-worth and strategy research capabilities for two decades. In the field of philanthropy, Cath headed Scorpio Partnership’s global research work with major donors, family givers and family foundations. Cath chairs Philanthropy Impact and Rosa, the UK fund for women and girls. She is an advisory board member of the Family Office Association in the US and the Managing Partners Forum in the UK.
 
Darshita Gillies
Listed among 100 Most Influential in UK - India Relationships, Darshita is Founder & CEO of Maanch - an multi award winning global impact platform connecting high impact organisations around the world with philanthropic capital providers and link global progress on SDGs. From humble beginnings in Mumbai, India, in a non-English-speaking conservative family, she is now a global citizen. Her aim is to leverage the power of emerging technologies to address the complex business and societal challenges we face in a more sustainable, conscious, and strategic way. Her experience builds on and blends 3 facets, 'Finance', 'Technology' and 'Planetary Sustainability’. With a professional background as a Chartered Accountant, Investment Banker, Executive Coach, Impact Investing and FinTech/ Blockchain Specialist, Darshita also serves on Boards of 'For Profit' and 'Non-Profit' organisations.
 
Sanjay Joshi
Sanjay has been active in the charity sector for the last 15 years, having been on the board of around half a dozen charities, provided consultancy services for a few weeks at a time for around half a dozen charities across the globe, and has been involved in around half a dozen groups to encourage philanthropy. He has previously worked in a niche strategy consultancy and for a major credit ratings agency, among other financial roles.
 
Billy Wright
A leader for extensive business & digital transformational projects for global organisations including serving as VP of Digital at Warner Brothers, and Global delivery roles at Nokia, Samsung & HSBC. Extensive knowledge in strategy, digital business development and operations industry wide.
 
Dan Kwiatkowski
Dan Kwiatkowski is a software engineer with a background in machine learning. He created CharityBase which enables organisations to access a wide range of charity data programmatically and is currently working on a new philanthropic venture in the environmental sector.
