Two hundred and fifty eight charities have benefited from grants of over £4.9M given by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales in the last quarter to September.
The foundation supports charities that help disadvantaged people to play a fuller role in their community, including support services for ex-offenders, disabled people, and disadvantaged families. Funding for core costs including salaries and rent has enabled charities such as the Shannon Trust, which enables prisoner to prisoner literacy development, to survive.
This year the Lloyds TSB Foundation for England and Wales has made 962 grants totalling £14.9million. To find out more about the Foundation's work click here or call 0870 411 1223.
