Coutts launches microfinance advisory service

News

Private bank Coutts & Co has launched a new microfinance advisory service and donor advised fund to help their clients to share knowledge and collaborate to increase the impact of their donations.

Coutts’ clients will have access to written reports and other specialised advice from an independent Microfinance Advisory Panel.  They will also be able to benefit from the Coutts microfinance donor advised fund. Administered by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), the fund is open to clients making a minimum contribution of £10,000, and will enable donors to collaborate with other philanthropists in pooling funds to make a bigger impact.

Mark Evans, head of philanthropy at Coutts & Co said, “Giving to charity is a personal act of generosity, so its only natural that Coutts clients should desire a greater involvement in how they select and support the recipients of their charitable investments.”

Coutts also hosts the Coutts Forums for Philanthropy, and sponsors Philanthropy UK’s A Guide to Giving, the essential handbook for philanthropists, which third edition is due out later this autumn.
