Philanthropy fortnight aims to boost giving in Northern Ireland

News (UK)

Northern Ireland Philanthropy Fortnight, running from 8th to 19th April, will showcase innovative initiatives and aim to boost philanthropy in the country.

Events exploring local corporate philanthropy programmes, the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative Northern Ireland that aims to teach principles of strategic giving in schools, and social investment all feature as part of a series organised by a new philanthropy organisation, Giving Northern Ireland.

They will also launch a report on giving by high net worth individuals and hold a networking breakfast on women in philanthropy. The online giving service Localgiving will be rolled out during Philanthropy Fortnight.

Funded by Atlantic Philanthropies and the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland, more information is available from tracy.bell@givingnorthernireland.org.
