Rushanara Ali MP, Chair of the APPG on Philanthropy and Social Investment recently sent a letter to the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP, The Chancellor of Exchequer concerning the need for support packages for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises;  urging him to provide additional funding to the sector in his budget statement.  She stated charities have played a central role in the UK's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and many are now in need of support.
