Taking the opportunity to tackle climate change

News

Climate change is now both a public and political priority and a pressing question is why isn’t more funding going to combat global warming?

The September 2007 issue of Alliance magazine’s special feature on climate change addresses this and other questions on the topic; and lays out the range of opportunities and entry points for small and large foundations and individual donors – both for environmental funders and for funders for whom the environment, let alone climate change, is not a programme focus.

Articles in this issue of Alliance look at the pioneering work being done in London and New York and at the C-40 Cities Initiative, involving major cities around the world and supported by the Clinton Foundation and other private funders. There are also contributions from developing countries.
