Big Give, the UK’s largest match funding platform, has launched Earth Raise Live - a bold new initiative to raise visibility and funds for environmental causes. Building on the success of its environmental match funding campaign, which raised over £8 million in just one week in 2025, Earth Raise Live will unite cultural icons, musical talent and climate leaders in an unforgettable live entertainment event. Launching in 2026, the event aims to reach millions, inspire climate action, and mobilise transformative funding. Purpose and Vision
At Big Give, we believe in the power of collective giving to create transformational change. Since 2021, our environmental match funding campaign has provided vital resources to climate and nature-based charities working across the UK and internationally. To date, the campaign has raised over £23 million for hundreds of impactful environmental organisations.
To truly shift the dial on climate action, we need to go beyond traditional audiences. We need to make giving to the planet feel urgent, joyful and mainstream. That’s why, in 2026, we’re rebranding the campaign as Earth Raise, and launching a high-profile live entertainment event alongside it: Earth Raise Live.
Our ambition is to establish an annual, unmissable national moment that places the environment firmly on the UK’s fundraising calendar - one that inspires people to act, give generously, and emotionally connect with the solutions our planet needs.
Strategy and Implementation
Earth Raise Live is being designed as a large-scale, broadcast-quality event that blends music, comedy, storytelling, and powerful calls to action. The event will amplify the work of environmental charities during the Earth Raise campaign week and spark wide-scale public engagement.
The inaugural Earth Raise Live event is scheduled to take place in April 2026, coinciding with Earth Day. We are collaborating with expert creative and production partners to create a show that resonates with mainstream audiences while maintaining authenticity and purpose.
We are also in active conversations with national and international broadcasters and streaming platforms to ensure maximum reach. The aim is to create a moment of national focus and collective generosity, similar in spirit to Comic Relief or Children in Need, but centred on the environment. Our 2025 launch party, hosted by Annie Mac and sponsored by Reed, offered an exciting glimpse into what’s to come, featuring standout performances by Aisling Bea, Declan McKenna, and more. We are currently in discussions with a range of top-tier talent for the 2026 lineup.
Our 2025 Impact:
● £8 million raised, charities supported included those working on conservation, renewable energy, rewilding, green skills, and nature-based solutions.
● 307 environmental charities funded - ranging from small local organisations to household names such as The Wildlife Trusts, Friends of the Earth, and Surfers Against Sewage.
