1. General Terms of Participation
By registering for or engaging in any service or programme, participants confirm they have read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions herein. These apply to all digital and in-person activities, including fee-based and complimentary offerings.
2. Definitions
· Programme or Service: Any event, training, membership, webinar, or initiative provided.
· Provider: Philanthropy Impact.
· Participant: Any individual or entity registering for or attending a service.
· Details: Specifics of a service including name, date, time, location, fees, and delivery method.
3. Payments, Invoicing & Refunds
All bookings must be paid in full at time of registration unless otherwise agreed. Provisional bookings are not confirmed until paid. Bookings require card payment unless an invoice is requested. Refunds, cancellations, and substitutions must be requested in writing. Early bird rates require prompt payment before published deadlines.
4. Substitutions, Postponement, and Abandonment
Participants unable to attend may nominate a substitute or transfer to an alternate session where appropriate. If cancellation occurs with no viable alternative, a reasonable cancellation fee may be charged. Philanthropy Impact is not liable for losses arising from delays, cancellations, or changes beyond its control.
5. Professional Conduct and Exclusion
All participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. Philanthropy Impact reserves the right to exclude or remove anyone whose conduct is disruptive or inappropriate.
6. Chatham House Rule
Participants may share content discussed but may not disclose the identity or affiliation of contributors. This rule applies to both online and in-person sessions.
7. Recording and Use of Technology
No part of any session may be recorded or streamed without written consent. Use of bots, transcription tools, or AI summarisation tools is prohibited unless explicitly permitted.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
All data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data will not be shared without consent. Participants may update or remove their data at any time or opt out of communications via info@philanthropy-impact.org.
9. Membership and 23 Impact Terms
Membership and 23 Impact entails agreed fees, eligibility verification, adherence to community standards, and confidentiality. Philanthropy Impact reserves the right to terminate membership and 23 Impact for breaches of policy or misuse of benefits.
10. Training/Events Participation
Participants agree to all outlined conditions. Requests for refunds or substitutions must be made early and in writing. Philanthropy Impact is not liable for disruptions due to unforeseen circumstances.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All materials, presentations, and documentation provided during any Philanthropy Impact service remain the intellectual property of Philanthropy Impact or its partners. These materials may not be copied, distributed, or used beyond personal reference without prior written consent.
12. Venue Compliance
Participants must comply with all rules, regulations, and health and safety requirements imposed by the event venue. Philanthropy Impact reserves the right to remove participants who fail to adhere to venue policies.
13. Accommodation Responsibilities
Where events involve overnight stays, participants are responsible for any accommodation costs unless otherwise stated. In the event of cancellation or non-attendance, pre-booked accommodation costs remain payable in full and are non-refundable.
14. Personal Property and Insurance
Philanthropy Impact accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal belongings or property brought to events. Participants are advised to arrange appropriate insurance cover for their own property and belongings.
15. Speaker Disclaimer
Opinions expressed by speakers, facilitators, or contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Philanthropy Impact. We are not liable for any advice given or views expressed during our programmes or events.
16. Force Majeure
Philanthropy Impact shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations under these terms if such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, strikes, government orders, pandemics, or natural disasters.
17. Policy Amendments
Philanthropy Impact reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Where changes materially affect participants, we will make reasonable efforts to notify them via email or through updates on our website.
18. Legal and Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by English law. Any disputes shall be handled under the jurisdiction of English courts. If a clause is invalidated, all others remain in force. Delays in enforcement do not waive rights.
