Former charity finance director with twenty years' experience, seeking a trustee role with a small or medium-sized charity where financial oversight needs strengthening.

I spent twelve years as finance director of a national health charity, and before that qualified as an accountant in practice. I've been on both sides of the board table — presenting to trustees for years, and now keen to sit on the other side of it.

I'm particularly drawn to organisations at the stage where finance has outgrown a part-time bookkeeper but can't yet justify a full finance team. That transition is where I can be most useful — reserves policy, management reporting the board can actually read, and getting the first audit right.

Based in Cambridge, comfortable with online board meetings, and able to give one to two days a month.
